Go to any optical center that appears in the TAMM app, or an Abu Dhabi Police happiness center. Bring your Emirates ID. The center uploads the result directly, so you do not need paperwork. If you wear glasses or lenses, keep them on during the test.

Open a Traffic file

Open a Traffic file

Log in to tamm.abudhabi or use the TAMM mobile app to start the service “Open a traffic file”. Choose the vehicle category (Light Vehicle Auto/Manual, Motorcycle, etc.) and follow the on‑screen prompts. Pay the government file‑opening fee online.

Theoretical Training

Theoretical sessions cover three key areas—driver mindset, road rules, and vehicle basics. You can learn at your own pace via e-learning, or use on-site tablet-equipped halls for flexible access.

Practical Training

The practical training starts with vehicle basics and progresses to advanced maneuvers and parking, all within the YDA premises. Sessions must be booked in advance

Simulator Training

Simulator Training

Simulator training includes three 20-minute sessions to build confidence by practicing real-life driving scenarios in a safe, controlled environment. Advance booking is required.

Final Road Test

Final Road Test

Take the final road test with the Licensing Department. Pass it and you're officially licensed!
